Small-Batch Bags made by one woman, on an antique Singer machine, for your Knitting, Crochet, or other projects
This funky chevron themed, Stitched by JessaLu Knitting Project Bag (or a purse or a lunch bag or a makeup bag - there are no limits) is a perfect size to hold your sweater or blanket-in-progress or any other larger project - this bag will hold 15 skeins of worsted yarn!
This fabric was sourced at Mood Fabrics NYC. All bags are lined with quality coordinating fabric and interfaced. Boxed corners and handles are double stitched for durability.
No, my bags do not have pockets sewn into the lining, but why would you want to be tied down like that? Get yourself a mini wedge or large/regular notions pouch and be ready to swap your project bag at the drop of a hat - or the change of a mood!
Gigantic (TWSS) Bag Dimensions: Approximately 19″ long, 14″ high and 5″ wide at the bottom. This size is perfect to tote an afghan in progress, the biggest of big sweaters, most of what you’d stash under your kitchen sink, or an average sized toddler (not kidding, it really is that big!). It can even be used to tote multiple projects, in multiple project bags! (I have four in mine right now!) Get ready to say ‘Whoa, that’s …big.’ when you open your package!
All items are made on an antique Singer sewing machine in a smoke-less and dog-friendly home (though she isn't allowed in the sewing room). Please convo me if you have any questions!
Stitched by JessaLu was founded in 2008 by me, JessaLu, when I was incredibly burned out in my career path at the time and I felt that I needed to have a more creative outlet to make an income. When I was young, my grandmother taught me to sew and gave me the nickname JessaLu - so I decided that I would give a nod to her and the foundation she helped lay which grew into SbJL. I use a bee in my logo because it is believed that bees help pass messages to those who have passed on, and I like to think that every bag that goes on to live at a new home sends a little message to her that I am using the tools she taught me, and am grateful to her for them.
SbJL has grown to offer accessories as well as Project Bags, and I work to source the items that are not made by me, to be sure that they are either designed by women artists, or distributed by women owned businesses. Because I believe that women need to lift each other up.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my little corner of the web - I hope you will find a new cozy home for your project here. ~j
